Stage 2

The hike

You will hike into a very moutainous environment: close to the glaciers, glacial lakes, walk on fine scree, a pass at more than 3,000 meters. You will finaly reach Jungu, a tipical little mountain hamlet. For sleeping in an accommodation you must go down to St.Niklaus - the Jungenbahn will help you to do it easily.

Not to be missed

• the Wasenlücke pass, at 3,114 meters ;
• the descent to the Jungtal on fine scree but with the help of a fixed rope ;
• the cute little hamlet Jungu at 1,955 meters above St.Niklaus.
